Former site of Colegio Seminario (Kazusa)

Cultural Heritage
After moving between several different locations, the Colegio Seminario relocated to Kazusa in 1590. The written records of Luís Fróis noted that "both the seminary and the school were on a hill near the sea" and "located in the immediate vicinity of the sea," leading to conjectures that this had been the former site of the Colegio Seminario. The superior Western printing presses in the possession of the Tensho embassy in Europe were brought back to the Colegio in Kazusa. The Gutenberg letterpress was then used to publish "Volume 1 of Sanctos no gosagveo no vchi nvqigaqi (Excerpts from the Acts of the Saints) " and other works.
