Rosary beads

Excavated artifact
Rosary beads are a tool used for Christian prayer. Prayers are said to the Virgin Mary while using the beads to count the number of prayers.

Many of the beads unearthed from Hara Castle are made of glass in blue, green and white. Some are cut in a flower shape or with 14 facets. They are considered to have been made in foreign countries such as Portugal and China.
