🚴Come cycling around Minamishimabara!
☆We held a cycling event☆
Minamishimabara is aiming to become a “cycling-friendly city” and is on its way to complete the cyclo-pedestrian path.
More than 300 participants took part in the first event dedicated to cyclist “Tour de Minamishimabara” held on March 23rd 2025年3月23日!
The completed parts of the cyclo-pedestrian path were also included and we received many positive comments about it, such as “It is definitely better to cycle with no cars around, and the scenery is so beautiful”♪
At the aid stations we set up, participants could also enjoy local specialties such as “Shimabara hand-stretched somen”, fish cake and other sweets: even the participants’ belly had the chance to enjoy the event! (Check the city HP for more details!)
We are planning one other round of the “Tour de Minamishimabara” for the next fiscal year!

☆About rental bikes☆
If you are worried you don’t go on a bike too often, we have the solution for you: rental bikes with pedal assist! 🚲
You can rent the bikes at Harajo Onsen Masago and Arima Christian Heritage Museum.
Rental fee is just 300￥ for 2 hours! 💰

All bicycles have the pedal assist, so you won’t even break a sweat on slopes!
